About Deb TomaroAfter studying archaeology in college, Deb decided that living with dirty fingernails wasn’t probably realistic for her, so she went to grad school to study Instructional Design. After several years of working as a corporate trainer, she had the opportunity to return to her beloved college town of Bloomington, Indiana. Needing employment, she embarked on her real estate adventure.
Wanting to make her mother happy and not waste those years in grad school, she combined her training and education skills with her years of real estate experience and created seminars and educational tools (including first time home buyer class) that are fun, informative and “no pressure” to educate the community about real estate. Her Home Buyer Seminarshave become a hit and she is now partnering with the large employers in Bloomington to offer the seminar as an employee benefit.
Deb’s real estate expertise has been called on by some of the biggest names in media to provide input and guidance for home buyers and sellers all over the nation. She has been quoted by CBS news, Yahoo! Homes and MSN Real Estate to name a few. She’s been named on the America’s Top Agents and a Rising Star of the RE/MAX of Indiana network.
On a personal level, Deb loves to travel to the Caribbean and Maine yearly, is a strong supporterof Girls Inc. of Monroe County (Empowering all Girls to be Strong, Smart and Bold) and Bloomington Restorations, Inc. (restoring historic homes as affordable housing), and secretly prefers Kourtney slightly over Kim and Khloe. She and her long-time boyfriend own upwards of 20 rental properties.
